The Business
Our client is a family-run windows and doors business, based in Richmond, London.
Our Objective
The client had previously tried to run ads in house with poor results. They also hired an agency who tried paid ads but it was not successful at all.
So at the time they were leaflet dropping and getting leads form that.
The client approached us because we specialise in the home improvements industry, they’d previously tried a general marketing agency but this time wanted to try something different.
The client told us that they wanted to spend a decent amount of money for good leads coming into the business.
Strategy
We put together a campaign of 5 Facebook ads. 3 video ads and 2 image ads.
Video Ads
Consisted of a testimonial from a recent happy customer, the owner of the company demonstrating a recent finished project and explaining more about the business, and a video with close ups of the work to show the quality and craftsmanship – the end result.
Image Ads
One was a before and after image and the other was a split aquert quadrant with four end result images demonstrating the beauty and quality finish of the product – with a current offer they were running of 6 windows and a door for just £4,000 + VAT.
Landing Page
The landing page, which convert 10-15% of visitors which is typically higher than standard websites. This gives us the best chance of converting the maximum amount of visitors coming from the paid ads.
The landing page has a questionnaire to filter out any tyre kickers ensuring the leads we produce are high quality and want to proceed.
Backend & CRM
Our follow up process ensures we do our best to contact leads that submitted the form and didn’t book, or who booked but didn’t purchase to close as many of those as possible. We also use retargeting ads that show ads to clients who visited the website but didn’t purchase, showing them a 20% off discount incentivising them to to book a call.
Ad Spend
We started off by spending £1,000 / month, and then into month 2 and 3 we increased the budget gradually towards £2,000 / month.
While cutting back the worst performing ads and increasing the spend on the best performing ads. We also wanted to make fresh ads to test new offers and new angles, similar to the ads that were performing the best.
The Results
The client is generating 5-10 leads per week from our advertising consistently. In 13 months generated an extra £312,000 in sales from £21,743 spent on ads (14x ROI) – in addition to sales they’re making from other sources.
